Carried out in collaboration with the Milan Polytechnic, Cattolica Assicurazioni's "Master Professione Agent" lasts nine months and aims to train "professionals capable of managing agency business"

University: a master's degree for insurance agents from Cattolica

Catholic, In collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano, launched a university master “to promote the growth” of its future insurance agents. The company announces it in a note, explaining that the educational path - entitled "Master Profession Agent" - tough nine months and aims to “turn the young participants into professionals able to manage the agency business through the acquisition and enhancement of specific professional skills”.

In particular, the master focuses on the "digital transformation and on multiple commercial, management and managerial skills necessary to manage an entrepreneurial activity”, continues Cattolica, adding that “particular attention will be dedicated to the process of change management consequent to the emergency context from Covid 19, which has accelerated market trends such as the digital innovation and multi-channel and has brought out new protection needs”.

It is a higher education course which envisages the intervention of Cattolica managers as speakers. The scientific direction is entrusted to professors Marco Giorgino and Giuliano Noci for the Milan Polytechnic and to Dr. Marco Lamola for the insurance group.

In detail, the master provides "nine didactic moments thus structured - continues the note - an opening moment/Kick Off, 7 thematic Challenges, a phase of project work and Graduation Ceremony. The conclusion of the first cycle of studies, in which 24 selected young people will participate, is scheduled for July 2021, which will be followed by the final project works before the delivery of the diplomas scheduled for November".  

Marco Lamola, deputy general manager and commercial director of Cattolica, underlines that "the Master Professione Agent, now in its fifth edition and today completely renewed in content and in partnership with an institution of recognized international value such as the Polytechnic, aims to be a point of reference for the training of the new generations of Cattolica agents. Thanks to a path of excellence, entirely financed by the company, we can contribute to the growth of young intermediaries according to the most modern techniques and tools for managing the agency and the insurance business".
