The Chief Executive Officer of UnipolSai Carlo Cimbri is being investigated for market manipulation by the Milan prosecutor's office in the investigation into alleged wrongdoing in the merger operation that gave birth to the company.

Three other managers are also under investigation for the same crime: Roberto Giay, former managing director of Premafin Finanziaria; Fabio Cerchiai, former chairman of the board of directors of Milano Assicurazioni; e Vanes Galanti, former chairman of the board of directors of Unipol Assicurazioni.

For all, the alleged offense is market manipulation: searches have been underway at the UnipolSai headquarters in Bologna since this morning. The operation currently penalizes the Unipolsai title on the Stock Exchange: around 11 am the shares of the insurance pole – which in the first months of the year had gained up to touching 2,6 euros at the end of April, lost 2% in Piazza Affari 2,32 euros approximately.
