Unipol decided yesterday to proceed exclusively with Allianz. A note issued after the closed Stock Exchange informs that "The boards of directors of Unipol and UnipolSai have analyzed the proposal presented by Allianz on 14 January for the acquisition of certain insurance activities of the former Milano Assicurazioni" and have decided to "proceed exclusively the definition of the contractual agreements by 15 March 2014”.
The company branch object of the proposal delivered by the Germans includes a distribution network made up of around 800 agents, the related Non-Life insurance portfolio, for around 1,2 billion euro, according to 2012 data, and the employees dedicated to the management of those same activities, i.e. 500 people. The price, still to be defined, should be around 500 million. At the opening of the session in Piazza Affari Unipol loses half a percentage point a 4,518 euro.
