Unipol Group, Bper Banca and Banca Popolare di Sondrio have renewed in advance until 2022 the strategic partnership in the bancassurance activity relating to the Life and Non-Life sectors launched in 2009, the natural expiry of which was scheduled for 31 December 2019.
According to the note, the renewal "pursues the objective of consolidating and developing the bancassurance business carried out by the Unipol group through Arca Vita and Arca Vita International (active in the Life business), as well as Arca Assicurazioni ( active in the Non-Life business), in order to expand and innovate the insurance offer of the partner banks, also thanks to the contribution of the technical and insurance expertise of the Unipol group”.
The partnership will have a five-year term with effect from 1 January 2018 and can be renewed again upon expiry.
Following the signing of the new agreements, the note continues, Arca is strengthening its role as the reference bancassurance platform for the Unipol Group, with a distribution network of around 3 thousand bank branches.
