Unione Petrolifera: invoice down by 18% and fuel prices blocked by taxes

In the report, where you indicate a 4,5% drop in oil consumption in 2014, it is specified that consumption should settle at 57,5 million tons. On the other hand, the report on the fuel consumption which rose by 0,5% compared to last year. This is the first increase since 2006 to date. On the other hand, the data on heating oil was decidedly down: consumption fell by 17,8% compared to last year.

On the front of fuel prices the Unione Petrolifera reports that prices have returned on 2010 levels. The data, however, does not appear in the eyes of consumers because "the increased tax component has sterilized any advantage for motorists".

Prices net of fuel taxes today are equal to those of November 2010, notes the Up, but "the price of petrol for consumption is about 27 cents higher than then, of which 23 due to taxes and 4 to 'exchange effect; that of diesel is instead higher by about 33 cents, of which 28 are taxes and 5 are exchange rates”.
