Unioncamere: positive balance, at +39 thousand, for businesses in the second quarter

According to the periodic quarterly surveys of the company register, the post-crisis recovery continues (April-June), but the vitality of the system is slowing down. Enrollments are stable, terminations are slightly increasing: crafts, commerce, tourism and construction are improving.

Between April and June, the demographic balance recorded through the chamber registers recorded a number of registrations in line with the same period last year (about 107 thousand units) while terminations, after the sharp decrease in the second quarter of 2010), did a slight negative rebound, settling at 67 thousand units (about 7.500 units more than in the April-June 2010 period).

The balance for the second quarter of 2011 is therefore positive for 38.959 units, lower than the corresponding one in 2010 but much higher than those of 2009 and 2008. It should be noted that the 18,7% increase in the entrepreneurial base recorded in the period (slightly more than 7 thousand units) is the result of the slow but continuous recovery of the craft businesses which, compared to the corresponding quarter of 2010, recorded a slight increase in enrollments and (unlike the overall figure) a significant reduction in terminations.
