Green light from the presidents of the Italian chambers of commerce for the proposal to reorganize the chamber system. The Assembly approved by a large majority the document prepared by Unioncamere after extensive consultation. The proposal, which implements the Madia law reforming the public administration, contains the plan for merging the chambers of commerce which go from 105 to 60.
The document will be sent to the Ministry of Economic Development which, within 60 days, will definitively launch the new geography of the chamber system with its own decree.
"The proposal, developed by Unioncamere and approved by all the presidents, incorporates the suggestions received from all the Chambers at the end of a long process of listening and analyzing the various territorial realities", comments the president of Unioncamere, Ivan Lo Bello . “Rationalization safeguards the capillary presence of the chamber system with a view to increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the action of the Chambers. All this also to best fulfill the new tasks and new functions that the reform entrusts to us".
The reform entrusts the chambers of commerce with important functions on the central themes of digitalisation, tourism, guidance and training. Furthermore, the Chambers have been called to join the national Industry 4.0 network.
