Unioncamere and Symbola: "38% of next year's hires come from the Green Economy"

Betting on the Green Economy to restart. This is what emerges from the report "Green Italy 2012″ by Unioncamere and the Symbola Foundation, sponsored by the Ministries of the Environment and Economic Development, which reveals the strong growth in hiring in “green” sectors that come to include the 38,2% of the total number of hires planned by Italian companies in industry and services. Add to this that 23,6% of Italian companies focus on a reconversion in terms of sustainability to overcome the current crisis.

Companies that belong to the most diverse sectors: from chemistry to services via electronics and textiles. The green economy, therefore, in addition to the traditional environmental function, also plays another role in Italy, that of stimulating growth.

The report by Symbola and Unioncamere even speaks of a "green revolution that crosses the country from north to south”, where the diffusion of eco-enterprises is growing enormously, even if Lombardy is the leader, with 69 green enterprises scattered throughout the territory.

A result beyond expectations, so much so that "among the 358 companies that have invested in green technologies in the last three years, no less than 20% expect to take on in 2012", an impetuous growth that also spills over into foreign markets, with a presence of 37,4% of green companies (against 22,2% of the others). To adapt to European standards, and to restart the economy, we will have to go through here.
