In exactly one year electronic invoices can be used regularly commercial relations with the Public Administrations of European countries and "the system of the Chambers of Commerce has already taken steps to make SMEs seize this new opportunity in the simplest way possible". Unioncamere communicated it through a note.
In detail, Unioncamere and InfoCamere have completed the actions of the eIGOR project – coordinated by the Agency for Digital Italy (AgID) and co-financed by theUnion European under the program "Connecting Europe Facility” – by virtue of which the Italian companies using the platform electronic invoice.infocamere.it, will be able to compile invoices addressed to the PAs of EU countries in the manner used up to now, leaving the digital platform with the task of transforming them – in a transparent manner – into the European standard for sending to the receiving Administration.
In order to inform businesses of this novelty, Unioncamere has promoted a series of local meetings. The first, expressly aimed at business associations, took place in Rome on 22 March. This was followed by the appointments in Bolzano (28 March) and Bari (4 April). Similar meetings are scheduled in Perugia (April 17) and in Turin (April 18).
“These appointments – explains Unioncamere – are also an opportunity to inform and prepare businesses and professionals for another deadline, more imminent and with greater impact than the previous one: the obligation in Italy to use electronic invoicing for all economic relations with other companies and with private individuals, which will come into force from January 2019".
“With respect to this obligation, the 86 thousand Italian companies who already use the Chambers of Commerce platform – free and unlimited in the number of invoices issued – start off with an advantage”, continues the Italian Union of Chambers of Commerce. Since November 2017, in fact, it has been possible to use invoiceelectronics.infocamere.it not only for relations with the Italian Public Administration but also for the management of invoices to businesses and individuals.
