Unioncamere: Carlo Sangalli is the new president

Change at the top of Unioncamere. Carlo Sangalli replaces Ivan Lo Bello as president of the Union of Chambers of Commerce.

Sangalli, former president of the Chamber of Commerce of Milan, Monza Brianza and Lodi, was elected by the presidents of the Italian Chambers of Commerce, meeting in Rome on the occasion of the Unioncamere Assembly.

“I am leaving a deeply renewed system – he said The Beautiful – with clear tasks and strategic functions for the growth of the production system. I leave him in excellent hands and this makes me even more proud of the efforts made". Lo Bello underlined the great skills of his successor, "a man capable of working with determination - he said - by aggregating and involving the best energies of the system to complete the reform of the Chambers of Commerce".

“I thank the colleagues who trusted me”- he declared Sangalli – “and I thank President Lo Bello and his team for the work they have done over the years. Together with the presidents of the chambers of commerce and all the men and women who work daily in the chamber system, we will commit ourselves to the development of our businesses and the strengthening of the country system”.

During his speech, Sangalli underlined the importance of being able to count on a valid and cohesive team. "It will be a guarantee presidency and aimed at completing and reviewing the reform - he explained - directly involving the Chambers of commerce".

The new president then indicated the keywords of his presidency: responsibility, collaboration, valorisation. “Responsibility, to intercept the needs and respond to the expectations of the territories; collaboration with all the subjects that can affect the development of the production system, starting from the employers' associations, the Regions, the training system and the Universities, research centers and cultural foundations; enhancement of the excellence of our country, starting with Made in Italy, from agri-food productions, to quality craftsmanship, to tourism".
