Unioncamere: boom in applications for projects for young entrepreneurs

Two initiatives promoted by Unioncamere in support of youth employment and entrepreneurship have garnered great interest in recent weeks. We are talking about Unioncamere Made in Italy: Eccellenza in digitale, which has already received around 2.400 nominations and the Young Business Innovators Award, which closed with 719 projects presented, in favor of which over 23 thousand people voted online.

The initiative with Google provides 104 scholarships for young graduates and undergraduates who will work within 6 Chambers of Commerce for 52 months, helping local businesses to exploit the opportunities offered by the web to raise awareness, on the market internally and internationally, the excellence of Made in Italy. Expectations are high especially for young people from the South: the largest number of candidates comes in fact from the provinces of Ragusa, Caserta, Salerno and Brindisi, followed by Florence and Viterbo. The initiative was launched on April 28th and will close on May 28th.

The Young Business Innovators Award will conclude with an award ceremony on 4 June in Rome, coinciding with the launch of the 12th edition of the Economy Day of the Chambers of Commerce. The competition is aimed at companies managed or led by young entrepreneurs under the age of 40 who have particularly distinguished themselves for their ability to introduce new ideas into the company. The three winning companies will benefit from a co-financing of 38 thousand euros which will have to be used for the hiring or provision of personnel dedicated to the implementation of the awarded innovation
