Unioncamere: the objectives for the next three years

In his thank you speech to the Assembly, chaired by Carlo Sangalli, Andrea Prete outlined a set of key objectives for Unioncamere over the next three years. Central among these are the innovation and simplification of processes for Italian companies. In particular, Prete underlined the importance of exploiting the expertise of the Business Register and other tools already available in the Chamber of Commerce system to improve support for companies.

"We want to make life easier for companies“, explains the re-elected president of Unioncamere” starting from the expertise of the Business Register and the tools of the chamber of commerce system that already exist (such as the One Stop Shop for productive activities); contribute to the digitalisation of small and medium-sized businesses (670 thousand those already supported by digital business points in the transition to 4.0); support the internationalization of SMEs, to help other companies, in addition to the 28 thousand already supported last year, to face world markets; facilitate the job market, increasing the commitment to orientation, certification of student skills and the entry of adequately trained foreign workers. Over a third of companies plan to hire non-EU workers in the next three years, and of this 73% are driven by the shortage of workers", underlined Prete.

In response to the growing shortage of skilled labor in the Italian market due to various factors including misalignment between training and the world of work, here for Prete “il chamber system is therefore a candidate to carry out a role of facilitator of the entry of immigrants with qualified profiles. The Chambers can, in fact, be the service platform for associations and companies that need to hire trained workers from abroad".
