Unioncamere: 400 free electronic invoices for businesses

The 60 small and medium-sized enterprises that have joined the free online service made available by the chambers of commerce have issued around 400 electronic invoices.

Almost 9% of the approximately 700 companies doing business with the PA has chosen to use the dedicated platform (https://fattura-pa.infocamere.it). A tool born a year and a half ago thanks to the collaboration between the Chamber System, the Agency for Digital Italy and Unioncamere in order to respond to the obligation of electronic invoicing towards all the Public Administration, which entered into force on 31 March 2015.

We remind you that the system allows electronic invoices to be compiled, sent, managed and stored digitally for ten years, up to a maximum of 24 per year, free of charge.

According to data released by Unioncamere, two companies out of five, a figure which in percentage terms corresponds to 40,9% of the total, are sole proprietorships. At a distance follow joint-stock companies (29,6%) and partnerships (23,3%). Overall, the companies adhering to the service sent an average of over 6 invoices each.

Locally, Bolzano, Trento and Rome are at the top of the provincial ranking for invoices sent via the free chamber of commerce platform, while Lombardy is the region with the highest number of members (over 8.000 registered companies) followed by Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany , Piedmont and Puglia which, overall, represent 45% of the companies that use the platform.

“With the digitization of accounting documents, paper is banned and definitively goodbye to long waits and waste of money. For this reason, the Chamber of Commerce system is working to speed up the process of dematerialisation of documents". This is the comment of the secretary general of Unioncamere, Giuseppe Tripoli, according to whom “the digital revolution is the main way to increase the productivity of our entrepreneurial system made up of many small and medium-sized companies. The success of this service that we have studied above all for them is a concrete testimony of this".
