Unioncamere: +38 thousand businesses in the second quarter

According to the data contained in the Unioncamere Business Register, the number of Italian companies grew by around 38 thousand units during the second quarter, marking the best figure in the last 4 years – Encouraging signs on the corporate crisis front.

The Italian companies. This is certified by the data of the relevant Register released today by Unioncamere, according to which 2015 new businesses were born in the second quarter of 97.811, while 59.831 existing businesses were closed, for a positive balance equal to 37.980 companies more than at the end of last March. This is the best data recorded in the last 4 years.

In relative terms, the number of Italian companies increased by 0,63% (compared to 0,59% recorded in the second quarter of 2014) bringing the total number of companies registered in Italy, as at 30 June of this year, to a value of 6.045.771 .XNUMX units.

Encouraging signs also on the front of business crisis. In the second quarter, the openings of new bankruptcy proceedings amounted to 3.654, down by 9,6% on an annual basis, while those of arrangements with creditors (414) slowed down by 22,9% compared to the same period of last year.

As for bankruptcies, the contraction involved 13 out of 20 regions, two other regions (Lazio and Umbria) confirmed the 2014 figure and only in five cases (Valle d'Aosta, Trentino-Alto Adige, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Molise and Calabria) there are increases compared to a year ago.
