The Board of Unicredit has appointed Luca Cordero di Montezemolo as vice president of the company, while Mohamed Ali Al Fahim has been co-opted among the directors.
The latter is currently responsible for the finance division of the International petroleum investment company (IPIC), an investment company wholly owned by the Government of Abu Dhabi and parent company of Aabar, one of the major shareholders of Unicredit. He is also a director of some companies of the Ipic group and some of its subsidiaries, such as EDP (Energia de Portugal SA), Aabar Investments, Arabtec Holdings and First Energy Bank.
