The eleventh edition of the call aimed at innovative startups and SMEs in Italy is underway with a particular focus on high-potential "tech" companies. You have until April 17th to register. Up for grabs is access to the Start Lab platform and 10 thousand euros

Unicredit presented the Call 2024 of in Rome, at the House of Emerging Technologies UniCredit Start Lab. The new Call is the eleventh edition of the UniCredit Start Lab call, aimed at innovative startups and SMEs in Italy with a particular focus on high-potential “Tech” companies.

The meeting, with the collaboration with Roma Capitale, was opened by Monica Lucarelli, Councilor for Security Policies, Productive Activities and Equal Opportunities, Rome Capital. Participated Roberto Fiorini, Regional Manager Central Italy of UniCredit, e Giusy Stanziola, which presented the 2024 UniCredit Start Lab call.

UniCredit Start Lab: the 2024 Call

The UniCredit Start Lab call 2024 is open until April 17th. The competition focuses on five main sectors:

  • Clean Tech, energy efficiency, renewable energy, waste treatment, sustainable mobility and smart cities
  • Innovative Made in Italy, agrifood, fashion, design, tourism, mechanics, robotics, nanotechnologies and Industry 4.0
  • Digital, mobile apps, internet of things, B2B services and platforms, cloud systems, hardware and artificial intelligence
  • Life Science, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, digital health care and assistive technologies
  • Impact Innovation, projects that cut across other segments but with solutions with a positive impact in terms of sustainability

Each sector embraces different areas of innovation, including energy efficiency, agrifood, mobile apps, biotechnology and transversal projects with a positive impact on sustainability.

UniCredit Start Lab: 10 thousand euros and access to the platform are up for grabs

Le 10 selected startups for each of the five categories they will have access to the Start Lab platform which includes:

  • Participation in business activities and matching of investments with industrial and financial counterparts in the UniCredit network.
  • Corporate partnerships with large companies, including the launch of pilot projects, mentorships, and direct investments.
  • Advanced management training through the Startup Academy and dedicated workshops.
  • Personalized mentorship program with professionals and experts in the innovation ecosystem.
  • Assignment of a dedicated UniCredit manager to support growth.
  • Possibility of collaborations and partnerships with UniCredit.

The first place in each category will also receive a prize of € 10.000.
