Above all, the increase in mortgages for the purchase of properties drove the growth in the bank's disbursements in May – CEO Ghizzoni announces adjustments to the 2013-2018 business plan.

Unicredit: May loans +33% year on year

Strong growth for loans disbursed by Unicredit. In fact, in May, loans increased by 33% on an annual basis driven, as specified by the CEO Federico Ghizzoni during a meeting with the foreign press, above all by the strong growth of mortgages for the purchase of new properties.

Ghizzoni also announced that the institute will make adjustments to the 2013-2018 business plan, in the light of the new economic scenario and low interest rates, especially by evaluating "a series of measures to contain costs and boost revenues”. According to its CEO, Unicredit is trying to grow its international presence outside Europe and strengthen itself in China, the Middle East and Central and South America "through alliances with local institutions".

For the Greek crisis, for Ghizzoni everything possible must be done to avoid default for the good of the entire Eurozone, as well as, of course, Athens.
