Unicredit received the Award for Innovation in Banking Services 2020, conferred by the Italian Banking Association (Abi). In particular, the recognition concerns the category "open innovation: the bank in the digital ecosystem", which concerns the initiatives created to develop synergies between the bank and the other players in the digital ecosystem (companies, IT vendors, Fintechs). Unicredit won thanks to the project: "Dynamic Discounting", a new digital solution to support the supply chain offered in collaboration with FinDynamic.

In detail, the "Dynamic discounting” allows companies that supply goods and services to view invoices within a web or mobile platform and to easily select those to be paid in advance, against a discount that varies according to the number of days in advance of the date payment agreed on the invoice.

The institute was also awarded a special mention for another project, entitled "Our differences make the difference - learning about disabilities to create a better working environment", candidate in the category "Innovation in communication: a new message from the bank".

The document offers useful information for dealing with people with disabilities both in the company and in private life. Unicredit employees with disabilities, disability experts and various trade associations took part in its creation.

Unicredit "is working towards complete professional inclusion through a series of activities in which everyone is called to make a contribution - reads the Bank's note - and last May 21, it joined "Valuable 500", a global movement that aims to place disability at the center of the business agenda”.

To avoid gatherings and risks of contagion from Covid-19, the delivery of prizes took place online.

In 2019, Unicredit had won the Innovation award in Sustainable finance with the "Impact Financing" project and the innovation award in communication with the "U-Days" project.
