Unicredit: 21,5 million operation for Elettra Spa

New financing operation for Elettra Investimenti and Unicredit, worth 21,5 million. The operation, mainly intended for the investment plan of the Elettra Group for the two-year period 2020-2021, was completed digitally, and has a duration of 6 months.

The Elettra Investimenti Group, a company listed on the AIM and active in the energy production sector, concluded, together with the banking group, a financing transaction worth 21,5 million euro.

The operation was assisted by the guarantees issued by SACE as part of the Garanzia Italia program and in part from the issue of a minibond subscribed by Unicredit.

The financial resources will be used to support the Elettra Group's investment plan, which envisages additional capital expenditure for the next two-year period 2020-2021, for more than 20 million eurosabout half of which are covered by already available resources.

Furthermore, these resources will also be used to achieve a extension of bank debt maturities making them more consistent with the medium/long-term nature of the investments.

Fabio Massimo Bombacci, President and CEO of Elettra Investimenti Spa, enthusiastically commented on the completed transaction, thanking UniCredit for its support and support in structuring the transaction.

“Through this operation – commented Bombacci – we obtain the resources to support the investment plan, already discussed in the Board of Directors which, especially at this moment, becomes central to confirming Elettra Investimenti as one of the most innovative and solid companies in the sector. The path that envisages the development and consolidation of our activities also through extraordinary operations continues and indeed finds new life from the operation concluded today."

“This financing operation – he said Francesco Giordano, Co-CEO Commercial Banking Western Europe of UniCredit – testifies once again to the complete operation of UniCredit on all the possible solutions envisaged by the Liquidity Decree. We were the first bank in Italy to disburse a loan of this type and we work every day with great commitment to support the country's businesses in this emergency phase".

Giordano concluded by emphasizing how Elettra investments is an innovative company that operates in the energy production sector, but also from alternative sources and for the management of high-efficiency plants for eco-environmental sustainability, a particularly important sector for the future of our Village.
