Unicredit, the new managerial organization operational

The new organization was approved by the board of directors on 6 February 2019 – The new Strategic Plan 2020-23 will be presented in London on 3 December 2019.

Unicredit, the new managerial organization operational

The new organization of the UniCredit management team – approved by the UniCredit board of directors on 6 February 2019 – is fully operational as of today. As previously announced, the new organization ensures that the management team that will implement the new Strategic Plan has full responsibility from the very beginning of the development process. The 2020-23 Strategic Plan will be presented in London on 3 December 2019.

The new management team is made up of Francesco Giordano and Olivier Khayat, co-CEO Commercial Banking Western Europe; Gianfranco Bisagni and Niccolò Ubertalli, co-CEO Commercial Banking CEE; Richard Burton, CEO of Corporate and Investment Banking, reporting directly to Olivier Khayat and Gianfranco Bisagni; Ranieri de Marchis and Carlo Vivaldi, co-Chief Operating Officer. Finja Kuetz is Deputy COO and Chief Transformation Officer. The Group CEO also temporarily assumes leadership of the Finance & Control function, until a new manager is appointed.

Commercial Banking Italy, reporting to the co-CEOs of Commercial Banking Western Europe, will be led by Andrea Casini and Remo Taricani. Giovanni Ronca, former co-Head of Commercial Banking Italy, in agreement with the bank, has announced that he will leave the Group. Stefano Porro has been appointed co-CFO, alongside Mirko Bianchi. The co-CFOs report to the Head of Finance & Control. The new CFO area includes both the activities previously falling under the CFO perimeter and those falling under the Group Administrative & Analytics Office perimeter.
