Unicredit, new top management for investment banking

Alfredo Maria De Falco has been appointed head of the Cib Italy Network – Gianluca Savoldi, current head of Financial Sponsors Solutions Italy, will take over from De Falco as head of Financing & Advisory Italy.

News in the Unicredit team that deals with corporate & investment banking. A note from Piazza Cordusio announces that Alfredo Maria De Falco has been appointed head of the Cib Italy Network. 

In his new role, De Falco - who until now held the position of head of Financing & Advisory Italy, reports to the head of Cib Italy, Vittorio Ogliengo. Gianluca Savoldi, currently head of Financial Sponsors Solutions Italy, will take over from De Falco as head of Financing & Advisory Italy, responsible for developing the business consisting of structured corporate finance operations, acquisition finance, financing, capital structure consultancy and financing to real estate. 

At a managerial level, Savoldi will report to global heads of F&A Richard Burton and Andreas Mayer and hierarchically to Ogliengo. Matteo Pietropoli, currently Savoldi's main collaborator, has in turn been appointed head of Financial Sponsors Solutions Italy, with the task of further developing the business in Italy with clients made up of private equity funds, structuring the financing of LBO operations. 

He will report to FSS global head Tim Hoffmeister. The credit institution led by Federico Ghizzoni has also prepared some changes on the international Cib network: Giovanni Ronca, who has so far led the Cib Network Italy, has been designated to assume responsibility for Cib Americas. Based in New York, he will have responsibility for business activities in North America and Latin America. Ronca will report to Ogliengo, who combines responsibility for CIB in Italy with oversight of UniCredit's investment banking activities in the Americas and Asia.
