It's called “buddybank” and it's the first digital and conversational bank dedicated exclusively to iPhone owners. It was launched by Unicredit, which in a specific note states that this novelty is "able to offer its customers a Concierge service, available 24/7, for financial and lifestyle needs".
Usable 100% from mobile and without going through the branch, buddybank is one of the digital service models dedicated to the Retail segment. The customer, in complete autonomy and security, will be able to open a current account with an Italian IBAN from his iPhone. It will also be possible to have a Mastercard debit card, which is accepted worldwide, and to apply for a Mastercard World Elite credit card. A Concierge available 24/7 will offer a wide range of solutions for every customer need, from booking a trip to organizing an event, a visit to an exhibition, a dinner or something else.

Andrea Casini, Co-Head Italy of Unicredit, explains that "the customer will be able to count on assistance designed on the model of a conciergerie similar to that of large hotels: he will be recognized in a few seconds and will see both his banking needs and his of free time".
An internal Concierge Team will be available to the customer 24 hours a day to directly manage banking requests, while for lifestyle services buddybank will rely on Quintessentially, an excellent partner in the sector present in 60 countries.
Communicating with buddybank, underlines Angelo D'Alessandro, founder of the new service, “is very simple. Just press the big 'B' in the center of the app to chat with our Concierge Team. Buddy's mission is to transform a banking app into a new experience, to be enjoyed every day”.
