The rush of foreign sovereign wealth funds is massive. In particular, writes the Corriere della Sera, the Arab funds hold 6% of Piazza Cordusio (without considering the 7,5% of Libyans, now frozen).
There are twelve of them: a presence that represents a safeguard in view of the bank's capitalisation. Three entities are from Abu Dhabi, together they have a preponderant 5,5%. Six are from Kuwait (0,361%), two are from Saudi Arabia (0,182%), one from Oman (0,007%).
