Unicredit works with Intesa Sanpaolo for a credit plan for performing and restructured companies. This was confirmed by Federico Ghizzoni, the bank's managing director, on the sidelines of the inauguration of the institute's new headquarters in Milan.
“It is a completely different project from a system bad bank – says the CEO – on which we have no ongoing discussion. Here we are talking about performing and restructured companies. There are ideas and discussions but they are not finalized yet”.
On the times, Ghizzoni says that "These are discussions that cannot go on for months, we are aiming for a decision by the middle of the year".
After the statements, the stock gains 1,41% on the stock exchange at 17pm.
