Unicredit and Eni, partnership in Open-es for the sustainability of the production chain

Eni e UniCredit today announced their partnership in Open-es, the system alliance that unites the industrial, financial and associative world for support businesses in the path of sustainable development and in the improvement of its ESG performance. This collaboration represents a further step in the path towards a system alliance, which sees the full involvement of the corporate ecosystem in line with the evolution of ESG legislation.

What is Open-es

Open-es it's a'open alliance which involves the entrepreneurial, financial and associative world in supporting all companies in the path of sustainable development through a digital platform. L'initiative was launched by Eni in 2021 in collaboration with Boston Consulting Group e Google Cloud, and today it involves more than 10.000 companies and 20 partners and thanks to an inclusive and collaborative approach, it forms a virtuous community of companies committed to achieving ESG objectives.

La partnerships between financial sector and that industrial created by Open-es not only promotes synergies for companies in terms of efficiency in sharing information, but also plays a decisive role in encouraging investments and promoting concrete actions for the sustainability of the entrepreneurial system.

Unicredit will be a Value-Chain Leader partner

UniCredit will join the alliance as Value-Chain Leader Partners and will allow the bank to play a strategic role in the sustainable development of the Italian entrepreneurial system, with initiatives and tools useful to all companies, regardless of size.

By joining Open-es, UniCredit confirms once again its ambition to achieve the Net Zero goals by 2050, as well as the bank's ongoing commitment to supporting customers and communities on their journey towards a just and equitable transition.
