Helping Nature with a credit card without spending anything. It can be done with the WWF version of the Genius Card, launched today by UniCredit: for each card issued, an amount equal to the cost of issuing it will be donated by the Bank to support the projects of the environmental association. Projects ranging from the protection of biodiversity and the defense of the Amazon forest to the restoration of the habitat of orangutans and the protection of the tiger, from the establishment of new protected areas for the giant panda to the promotion of sustainable management of natural resources in the field.
The Genius Card WWF version is not a simple credit card but a real alternative to the current account which, thanks to its advanced features, allows you to easily manage the main banking transactions:
• Contactless payments: the WWF Genius Card is one of the first UniCredit contactless cards, thanks to Mastercard's PayPass technology, for amounts of less than or equal to 25 euros, payments can be made without swiping the card but only by bringing it close to the enabled POS terminal.
• Bank transfers: allows you to make and receive bank transfers in Italy and receive SEPA bank transfers (SEPA - Single Euro Payments Area) using the IBAN coordinates shown on the card.
• Salary and pension credit: it is possible to credit salary and pension free of charge thanks to the IBAN coordinates.
• Payments: you can domicile utilities, make payments of university fees, MAV, RAV and payments of utilities with affiliated companies.
• Top up also in cash: at over 3.400 Bancomat – ATMs authorized to carry out the operation and at UniCredit Agencies in Italy.
• Online services: top-ups and other payments can be made through the Multichannel Banking Service/Online Tu and over the phone.
• Mobile banking application: by downloading the free UniCredit Mobile Banking application for smartphones, you can consult the balance and movements of the WWF version Genius Card, make transfers and top up your mobile phone.
• "Quick operations" function: allows you to top up your prepaid card with a simple text message and carry out certain transactions without entering the password.
