Unicredit, Open Pavilion starts from 19 February

From February 19, 2016 starts "OPEN Pavilion", a series of monthly meetings conceived by the journalist, writer and poet Roberto Cotroneo and by UniCredit Pavilion, dedicated to culture enthusiasts and curious people. “The conferences – says Roberto Cotroneo – will open perspectives and points of view on what now surrounds us and is part of our lives: narratives, music, art, image, critical thinking. They will be an opportunity to bring together the protagonists of these disciplines: writers, composers, musicians, poets, artists, photographers, philosophers, scientists, directors, actors, technology experts and to hear them tell their knowledge and their experiences.

“OPEN Pavilion because the exhibition is open to all citizens who wish to participate – he declared Serena Massimi, Head of UniCredit Pavilion –. OPEN because we will ask the protagonists of all fields of knowledge to share their experience and knowledge, giving access to the pages of their professional and personal diary. OPEN because this is the spirit of UniCredit Pavilion and its initiatives”. The first appointment – on 19 February, at 18.00 – will be with Michelangelo Pistoletto, Italian painter and sculptor, who will explore the theme “Thought and the idea. The art laboratory”.

For the occasion, he will tell us about his work as an artist, his way of thinking about works and looking at things, opening the door of his workshop and narrating his professional career and the current state of his art. The next meetings with the photographer Ferdinando Scianna on 23 March at 18 pm and with the writer Dacia Maraini on 23 May at 20 pm have already been scheduled. Further information on upcoming appointments and meeting times will be available on the website www.unicreditpavilion.it
