Unicredit, the frond is growing
anti-Ghizzoni

Troubled waters at the Unicredit summit in view of the renewal of the positions at the spring meeting: after Del Vecchio, who has now become the Zamparini of finance, Palenzona also takes sides for the replacement at the helm of the bank but the game remains open and for now the international funds, the advisers of German extraction and Carimonte seem to be on the side of the CEO.

Unicredit, the frond is growing anti-Ghizzoni

The anti-Ghizzoni front is growing at the Unicredit summit in view of the spring meeting which will have to renew the posts at the head of the bank. The vice president Fabrizio Palenzona, who in the past was decisive in asking for the replacement of Alessandro Profumo, took the field yesterday against the confirmation of Federico Ghizzoni at the helm of Unicredit: “The shareholders – said Palenzona . they are not commented on, but are listened to and I have great esteem for Cavalier Del Vecchio”.

Leonardo Del Vecchio was the first to open fire against Ghizzoni, whom some shareholders reproach for having presented an industrial plan that was too soft which did not bring the bank's shares back to share in Piazza Affari. But, beyond the merits, Del Vecchio is gaining a reputation as a killer-ad, a bit like Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini in football, where he kicked out 34 coaches in 14 years.

Del Vecchio, in two years has ousted three CEOs of Luxottica (Guerra, Cavatorta and Adil Khan), but previously he had also been decisive in asking for the head of Giovanni Perissinotto at the helm of Generali, of which he is a shareholder, with an interview by rare inelegance right on the day of the 2012 Leo assembly.

We'll see how it will end up now in Unicredit where Ghizzoni is convinced that he still has international funds, Cariverona and directors of German extraction on his side.
