Unicredit creates the Transformation & Innovation Advisory Board

The new body will have to propose concrete development opportunities to be submitted to the Unicredit CEO, as well as regularly update the group's board of directors on the progress made

Unicredit creates the transformation & innovation advisory board, a committee made up of internal members of the bank and external specialists who will have the task of defining a new strategy for the "bank of tomorrow".

The transformation & innovation advisory board will meet on a quarterly basis to discuss the most important topics impacting the growth of the banking sector, such as technology and data, consumer trends, fintech innovation, security and risk mitigation. The best development opportunities will be submitted directly to the managing director, Jean Pierre Mustier, while the most significant results will be periodically analyzed by the group board.

The goal is to propose concrete development opportunities to be submitted to the Unicredit CEO, as well as regularly update the group's board of directors on the progress made

He will be there to occupy the chair of chief transformation officer Finja Kutz. In addition to the internal members, four external specialists have been called to join the body: Eileen Burbidge, special envoy for the fintech sector of the UK Treasury and co-founder of Passion Capital, a firm specializing in early stage venture capital; Theresa Payton, the first woman to hold the position of chief information officer of the House
Bianca inside the President's Executive Office; Carlo Ratti, architect and professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT); Katie Walsh, Vodafone's first chief global data and analytics officer.

Jean Pierre Mustier, Ceo of Unicredit, commented: “The banking sector is rapidly evolving and in
UniCredit intends on the one hand to seize all possible opportunities and on the other to develop solutions
innovations in order to better serve our customers. We are running the last stretch of ours
Transform 2019 marathon and we are already looking to the future: the new transformation & innovation advisory
board will allow us to go beyond preconceived ideas and patterns and explore new and exciting ones
projects. Building the "bank of tomorrow" means laying the foundations for future value creation in
UniCredit and I can't wait to touch the creativity and innovative way of thinking that ours
external experts will put on the table”.
