Unicredit sells Npl for 450 million

Unicredit has sold two portfolios of non-performing loans for a total nominal value of 450 million euro. This was communicated by the Bank, specifying that the agreement was signed on Friday 16 June with MB Credit Solutions, a company of the Mediobanca group for the management of NPLs.

The agreement provides for the sale without recourse of a portfolio of non-performing loans with a gross value of approx 310 million euro, deriving from unsecured credit agreements with customers in the consumer segment. The portfolio exclusively includes receivables deriving from loan agreements governed by Italian law and the impact of the sale will be reflected in the second quarter 2017 financial statements.

Unicredit and MBCS have also reached an agreement for the sale of a portfolio for an amount of approx 140 million euro of non-performing loans of the same type accumulated during 2017. The agreement forms part of UniCredit's current strategy to reduce non-performing exposures.

This morning the title of Unicredit, after having opened positively, reversed course and just over an hour after the opening, it dropped 0,25%, at 15,66 euros per share.
