Unicredit-Bei: 350 million for Italian companies

Two new lines of financing are on the way for Italian companies in the manufacturing and service sectors.

Unicredit has signed two new lines of financing with the European Investment Bank (EIB) for Italian companies in the productive and service sectors, for a total amount of 350 million euros.

Of this, €250 million will be earmarked for the financing of renewable energy projects implemented by private or public promoters, mainly involving wind energy as well as other sectors, including geothermal energy, biomass and photovoltaics. It is estimated that the line provided by the EIB will allow Unicredit to mobilize investments in the renewable energy sector for around 350 million euros over the next three years with loans that may have a term of up to 18 years.

The other 100 million euros will be allocated to companies (up to 3000 employees) in agriculture and related sectors (including agro-industry) for tangible and intangible investments, or rather to finance working capital. Loans with EIB funds for agro-industrial and agro-tourism real estate investments, energy saving and/or environmental investments may have a duration of between two and twelve years.
