Unicredit: agreement with EcorNaturaSì for companies in the supply chain

Unicredit and EcorNaturaSì, a company active in the sector of specialized wholesale and retail distribution of fresh and packaged organic and biodynamic products, have signed a partnership to support companies in the supply chain.

In detail, the institute headed by Jean Pierre Musttier signed the first agreement in the North East relating to the Agri-Food Chains Project aimed at supporting Italian companies in the sector supplying EcorNaturaSì "by enhancing their belonging to the chain, with credit offers and services at hoc, developed to respond, under favorable conditions, to the specific needs of the companies involved", reads the note released by Unicredit.

The agreement, in its initial phase, will address the fruit and vegetable and arable crops chains (200 Italian companies), and will then be extended to other sectors as well. The launch of specific initiatives is planned "with the aim of offering concrete financial support to the production cycle and easier access to credit", explains the bank.

"The project implemented by UniCredit - continues the note - addresses the specificity of the production process through a dedicated model that starts from the identification of typical characteristics of the relationship between the lead chain (hub) and contributing companies (Spoke), in order to intercept the needs of the companies involved. This also through the exchange of information between the lead company and the bank on the analysis of the production process and on the role of its lenders”.

The agreement also establishes that companies belonging to the supply chain enjoy advantages regarding the offer of specific financing products, with benefits regarding support for investments for the qualitative improvement of the entire supply chain, the consolidation of the quality supply chain and the strengthening of the monitoring and traceability actions of the supply chain. Finally, the possibility of accessing training plans is also foreseen.
