Unicredit accompanies De Nigris in the Stock Exchange project

The De Nigris-Acetifici di Modena agri-food group, leader in the production of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena and vinegar-based condiments, launches a plan for growth and expansion on foreign markets and renews its partnership with UniCredit. As evidence of the solidity of the De Nigris Group and of the company´s sound development plans, UniCredit has in fact accompanied the company from Campania in the process of admission to the "ELITE" Project, the Borsa Italiana initiative aimed at the best Italian companies with the aim to improve relations with the banking and business system, to support them in the process of growth and opening up to foreign markets and to bring them closer to the capital markets.

The Bank has also disbursed a credit line aimed at the growth of the De Nigris Group companies. The financing operation, coordinated by the Naples Corporate Area of UniCredit, will allow the Campania company to use the new resources to increase production activity thanks to new investments (new filtration plant and new wooden vats). The loan is also aimed at strengthening the product range (in particular the development of the sauces and condiments line) and at coping with the increase in sales of aged balsamic vinegar, deriving above all from the growth and development strategies of foreign markets that the company intends to implement over the next three years, particularly towards emerging markets.

“We are strongly committed to promoting Made in Italy and Italian 'know-how' throughout the world through symbolic products capable of representing territories and stories of great traditions. Increasingly appreciated around the world, vinegars and condiments tell of Italian creativity and taste for quality”, comments Raffaele de Nigris who followed the UniCredit operation for the De Nigris Group. "The collaboration with UniCredit represents a virtuous example of collaboration between private business and the banking system and will give further impetus to our extensive project to control international markets, today an inescapable competitive terrain for Made in Italy". The De Nigris Group, with a turnover of almost 80 million euros in 2017, boasts a history of over two centuries of leadership in the production of excellent quality wine vinegars. Today it is the leader in the production of vinegar and the first Italian player with 22% of the domestic market and a production capacity of 30 million liters a year, which make it a specialist recognized worldwide.

Overall, the De Nigris Group employs over 150 employees distributed across the three production sites of Caivano, in the province of Naples, in Carpi, in the province of Modena – home of Balsamic Vinegar – where the Modena and Reggio Emilia Acetifici Italiani headquarters have been located since 1997 , site of the largest Italian wine vinegar fermentation platform. Following the company's growth strategy, an increase of over 30 units is expected over the next three years, of which 15 at the Caivano plant, 10 at the headquarters of the Italian Acetifici Modena and 5 in Reggio Emilia. With this transaction UniCredit confirms its commitment to Italian companies in the agri-food sector, a sector where Made in Italy plays a role of primary importance on a global level and De Nigris with its Training Academy for young talents remains a example of this culture.
