Hungary, migrant chaos: clashes at the station in Budapest

There is chaos in Hungary around immigrants. After Prime Minister Viktor Orban's controversial choice to erect a wall to defend the borders, today the police closed the station of Ostbahnhof, the main of Budapest, due to the tumults caused by thousands of immigrants, who have crowded in front of the main entrance and are determined in every way to reach the western countries of Europe and in particular Germany and Austria.

The refugees want to leave even if, according to the rules in force, registered in Hungary, would have to wait in a local refugee center for eventual recognition of refugee status. “Let us go up! Germany! Germany,” they announced according to television and news agencies. Strong clashes are taking place in the Hungarian capital, and according to the deputy prime minister Janos Lazar, who spoke today in Parliament, "is also Merkel's fault". Indeed, the Syrians claim that, according to the statement of the chancellor Angela Merkel, can enter Germany. However, the German chancellor immediately rejected the accusations against the sender: "No responsibility".

During the weekend the police did not allow people to board the trains, but in reality they have not placed any obstacles since Sunday. Hundreds of other migrants were allowed to take trains to Germany without making any requests for documents. The Hungarian police forces did not stop them: so on Sunday evening, in Bavaria, over 400 asylum seekers have arrived.
