The earthquake of last August 21st in Ischia rekindled the fuse of the discussions relating to the phenomenon of unauthorized use. In any case, the numbers are very little reassuring. Between 2000 and 2011, 46760 orders for the demolition of illegal buildings were issued in the provincial capitals. The actual demolitions, however, were only 4956, only 10,6% of those expected.
