A thesis on FDI in India

We continue our initiative of publishing abstracts of the best university theses on international trade: it is the turn of Dr. Lorena Papa's thesis on Italian direct investments in India

We continue our initiative of publishing abstracts of the best university theses on international trade: it is the turn of the thesis by Dr. Lorena Papa (Master's degree in Economics and Law, Department of Economics and Business Studies, University of Padua) on direct investments Italians in India.

The elaborate, interesting and well articulated, is divided into three chapters: the first describes the internationalization process in general with a bibliographic review of the main theories on FDI, the technical forms of entry, the determinants and the effects of a foreign direct investment operation, to then outline the evolution of active multinationalization of Italian companies.

The second chapter illustrates the tools to support the internationalization of companies, through a description of the main products and services offered by the public system and the domestic banking system.

The third chapter exposes a overview of India, with indications on its political and economic framework, industrial policy and support for foreign investments (incentives, concessions), as well as on the regulatory system (corporate, tax and labour). The analysis perspective is that of an Italian company which carries out its own assessments to identify the possibilities  of investment  more suitable and advantageous.

Attached is the described abstract.
