EU, the index of economic sentiment worsens. In Italy, on the other hand, it grows by 3,5

There is no business atmosphere in England or Germany. At least you wouldn't think it looking at the data released today by the EU Commission on the economic climate. The Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) recorded a drop of 0,8 points in March, compared to February, in the European Union of 27, coming in at 93,2, while it is decreased by 0,1 points, to 94,4, in the euro area. The greatest declines were recorded in the United Kingdom, with -2,5, and in Germany (-2,4), where, however, the index is above its long-term average.

On the other hand, there is a lot of trust for Italy. Our country's ESI increased by 3,5 points, among the largest increases recorded. Poland (+2,2) and France (+2) also did well. On the other hand, Spain (-1,1) and the Netherlands (-1,3) fell.

Furthermore, in March 2012, the economic climate indicator (Bci) for the euro area decreased by 0,14 points to -0,3.
