EU, maximum fine of 30 million to Italy for tax issues

Italy will have to pay the EU Commission a fine of 30 euros for tax irregularities. The condemnation came from the European Court of Justice, which sanctioned our country for not having recovered aid from the employers, in the form of tax relief, for training contracts. Italy will also have to pay other fines for each semester of delay in recovering the aid.

The first ruling in this sense arrived in April 2004, but the government in Rome then failed to fulfill its obligations. Today, the European judges recall that our country is still in default for various sentences on state aid.
