In September the European car market it continued to grow, but not in a homogeneous way: the results of FCA, Daimler and Renault, in fact, doubled those of the competitors' average.
In detail, according to data from the Association of European Manufacturers (Acea), last month registrations in EU and EFTA countries (Iceland, Norway and Switzerland) were 1.496.206, 7,3% more year-on-year. In the first nine months of the year, on the other hand, 11.607.266 cars were sold, with an increase of 7,7% compared to the same period of 2015.
The group fca grew almost double the European market: in September registrations were 90.848, 14,2% more than in the same month in 2015, with a market share growing from 5,7 to 6,1%. In the first nine months of the year, FCA deliveries were 767.909, for a growth of 15,3%. The share went from 6,2 to 6,6%. All the brands of the group did well, in particular Alfa Romeo, which in September recorded a leap of 39%. Among the other brands, +21% for Jeep, +14,7% for Lancia and +10,8% for Fiat.
Even better than FCA they did Renault (+ 18,7%) and Daimler (+ 17,9%). Volkswagen records +5,6% but continues to lead the ranking of manufacturers with a market share of 22,9%. Sales are also growing bmw (+ 13%) and Opel (+3,8%). Bad A dog (-5,8%) And Ford (-0,7%).
