The European Union and Cuba signed today in Havana an historic agreement of political dialogue and cooperation which kicks off the normalization of relations between the EU and Havana.
The signing ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Cuban foreign ministry, in the presence of Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, foreign minister of the South American country, and Federica Mogherini.
"This is a historic step in our relations", commented the high representative for the Union's foreign and security policy, Mogherini, who reiterated that the agreement "marks the conclusion of the Common Position", and that Brussels will undertake all the necessary initiatives to "abolish" this provision.
