The European Commission takes note of the Italian government's decisions to comply with the sentence of the Constitutional Court on pensions and "welcomes the commitment to maintain the budget targets envisaged in the 2015 stability programme".
Consequently, "based on the government's announcements, the Commission's assessment of the stability program would remain unchanged compared to that based on the spring economic estimates".
A definitive assessment, the Commission spokeswoman indicated, will be made on the basis of the official government document.
