Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered the withdrawal of Russian troops from the border with Ukraine. The Kremlin announced it. Putin has ordered the withdrawal of 17.600 soldiers engaged in military exercises since the summer in the Rostov region, on the border with Ukraine.

Meanwhile, a spokesman for the Donetsk hospital announced that Ukrainian artillery shelled a residential district of the capital of the eastern region, wounding three civilians. According to witnesses, however, 3 people died in the attack. The Defense Minister of the self-proclaimed Donetsk republic Volodymyr Kononov claimed "full control" of the airport by the pro-Russian separatist militias. "Kiev's forces are trying to push us out and they are destroying the airport," he said.
