UBS Sponsors 27th Beijing Music Festival (“BMF”) with a diverse series of concerts and community programs, featuring world-renowned artists and bands. These initiatives underscore the commitment to fostering global musical connections, local community engagement and cultural development. During BMF, UBS featured a concert called We Got Rhythm by world-renowned, nine-time Grammy Award-winning trumpeter, bandleader and composer Wynton Marsalis, accompanied by the acclaimed Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra.
To promote community engagement in music and culture, UBS also hosts a series of programs for staff and the local community. During BMF, Huang Ye, the Music Director of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Shanghai Big Band, shared his musical journey and inspiration with UBS staff. In partnership with Wings of Music, migrant children from the Dandelion School in Beijing have an exclusive opportunity for a meet-and-greet session with BMF artists and a backstage tour to witness the Cape Town Opera Chorus set up and prepare for their evening performance. Additionally, the children will learn about the rich history of the Temple of Heaven, one of Beijing’s most iconic landmarks.
Janice Hu, Country Head of UBS China, said: “UBS has supported the communities in which it operates for many decades. This year marks the 19th anniversary of the partnership between UBS and BMF. We are honored to continue our support of this international event for musical connections and cultural exchange, while demonstrating our long-term commitment to public culture and education through various community programs.”
