Ubi Banca launches the “Ubi Community for Caritas Delegation of Lombardy” social bond for a total amount of 20 million euro. The proceeds of a solidarity bond loan will be donated in part to the Opera Caritas San Martino Foundation of Brescia, which as manager will use the contribution for the realization of the regional project "Contamination - Year of Social Volunteering", promoted and implemented by the Caritas Delegation Lombardy region.
The project will make it possible to offer 150 young people between the ages of 18 and 30 the opportunity to spend a year in an educational assistance service, at the same time creating a training course that allows them to operate within the Lombard Caritas network in favor of people in difficulty such as drug addicts, prisoners, the homeless, minors at risk, single mothers, non self-sufficient elderly people, the disabled.
The bonds have a minimum subscription denomination of one thousand euro, duration of 2 years, six-monthly coupon, gross annual rate of 1,90% and can be subscribed from 14 April to 30 May 2014, subject to early closure or extension of the offer period . The bonds are not intended for listing on any regulated market or multilateral trading system: they will be traded by the placers in direct exchange as part of the proprietary trading service.
