For this reason, I thank the members of the Board, but the my thanks go first of all to Carlo Messina for having placed faith in me and in my abilities; and I intend to address the same thought to the many colleagues who have shown their support”.

We should facilitate dialogue, comparison and sharing between all the structures of Intesa Sanpaolo and those of UBI Banca, always having as first thought all our people, our customers and our shareholders. In recent months we have met entrepreneurs, local authorities and institutions present in the areas where UBI Banca operates and this will be repeated often, from now on, to bring benefits and promote opportunities to be seized by all the stakeholders involved".

“UBI is a solid, recognized and sustainable bank – concluded Micciché -, also thanks to the work done by the previous Chief Executive Officer, by the management and by all the people of UBI. I intend to assure all UBI Banca employees from the outset of the commitment of all Intesa Sanpaolo management, in order to strengthen the already common identity between the two institutions, which are also strong in similar corporate values and cultures. The new regional offices in Bergamo, Brescia, Cuneo and Bari, the hiring of 2500 young people, the center of excellence for supporting the agricultural sector in Pavia are just some of the initiatives already planned to support the territories in which UBI operates. Together we will build a Group even closer and in support of the territories, together we will be even more the "territorial bank", of Italian households and businesses”.
