UBI Banca: agreement signed with Confindustria Marche Nord

The partnership makes it possible to offer more than 900 member companies customized corporate welfare solutions aimed at increasing the productivity of companies and the well-being of workers.

UBI Banca and Confindustria Marche Nord have signed a memorandum of understanding on corporate welfare which will allow over 900 companies that employ around 50.000 people to benefit from a new subsidiary and proximity welfare programme. The objective of the agreement is to make available a full outsourcing solution that allows companies of all types and sizes, even less structured SMEs, to easily start a company welfare program and access the related benefits; starting from those of a fiscal nature envisaged both for the company and for the employee by the 2016 Stability Law and the 2017 Budget Law which allow for the elimination of the tax wedge.

Confindustria Marche Nord is the first territorial association of industrialists in central Italy to sign an agreement on corporate welfare with UBI Banca. UBI Banca, in turn, is the first Italian banking institution to enter the corporate welfare sector, with a vision that arises from its being a local bank that is attentive to the needs of its communities, and has always been committed to promoting the development of the third sector.

The combination of the professionalism and specific skills of Confindustria Marche Nord and the UBI Welfare service will allow member companies to take advantage of wide-ranging specialist consultancy (administrative, organisational, fiscal, labor law). The objective of the partnership is to accompany the company in every phase of activation, management and evolution of the welfare plan, with an advisory model that starts from the analysis of the needs of the company and its employees. In-company training interventions are also envisaged, for both management and workers, to facilitate awareness of welfare and enable informed choices to be made.

UBI Banca's welfare specialists are available to companies and their employees to illustrate the advantages of corporate welfare and to propose an action plan, accompanying the company along the entire process. Also from an operational point of view, the company can count on a turnkey service with total management of operational obligations and employees on an efficient assistance service through qualified operators.

The UBI Welfare platform for Confindustria Marche Nord allows access, in a simple way (via PC, tablet and smartphone) to welfare, health and social security services, to a new Health Care Fund, to offers for holidays, free time and culture, reimbursement of expenses incurred for the education of children and care of one's family, the purchase of goods and services on advantageous terms.

The agreement signed today makes it possible to develop a welfare system that enhances the best local excellence, in order to promote the development of the territory and to offer services that are characterized by quality and proximity to the needs expressed. Confindustria Marche Nord acts as a facilitator of this process which also means the creation of a territorial network: UBI Welfare in fact allows local companies and third sector operators, particularly focused on personal services, to become suppliers of the platform, thus contributing to the construction of a network of well-being and supplementary protection of the public service.

"With the partnership with Confindustria Marche Nord - says Rossella Leidi, Deputy General Manager and Chief Wealth and Welfare Officer of UBI Banca - we consolidate our vision of corporate welfare as an ecosystem of people, businesses and the territory in an area of great importance for UBI Banca, also in consideration of the recent acquisition of Nuova Banca Marche. Precisely the strengthening of our presence in the provinces of Ancona and Pesaro Urbino allows us today to start a collaboration process for the benefit of our 2.000 client companies in this area who may be primarily interested in developing a welfare program, of the 1.400 non-profit clients of UBI Banca (associations, cooperatives and social enterprises), of the 900 companies associated with Confindustria Marche Nord and, more generally, of all the companies and third sector organizations of Ancona and Pesaro Urbino. Marche companies are very sensitive to innovation processes and we are sure they will be able to seize this further opportunity for economic development and social welfare".

“The theme of welfare has long been central to our association – declares Claudio Schiavoni, President of Confindustria Marche Nord – we have already experimented with some welfare initiatives in the area and thanks to this protocol we will be able to expand and enrich the offer of tools dedicated to member companies. The partnership with UBI will help us to make access to the tools easier and more effective. One of the instruments deriving from this agreement, which in our opinion deserves attention, is the adhesion of Confindustria Marche Nord to the UBI Observatory on the evolution of corporate welfare. On the one hand, it will allow us a continuous benchmark with the most dynamic, best performing and most advanced parts of the country today; it will then be an undoubtedly important tool for promoting awareness of welfare tools in companies and for monitoring the diffusion of welfare practices and their impact on the social and economic fabric of the territory. In this way we will be able to translate the knowledge acquired from the work of the Observatory into proposals for improvements for the regulatory framework of the labor market, for example".
