Ubi Banca: with the top-up, the expenses of the c/c can be paid in installments

The novelty is that with Ubi Banca, for the first time in Italy, bank customers will be able to pay in installments not only the repayment of a loan but also the individual expenses already charged to their current account (transfers, payments, etc.) to top up the balance and make it available again to plan new purchases or to have the peace of mind of being able to face any unforeseen future commitments. The service is called RicariConto and the bank considers it so innovative that it has registered the trademark and filed a patent application.

RicariConto is also simple to use: it can be activated easily in the branch and without costssubject to a positive assessment of creditworthiness. Once activated, individual expenses can be paid in installments in total autonomy with a click via the Ubi Banca app (or via Internet Banking) or, for those who prefer, even at the branch or through Customer Service. The customer then chooses the duration of the installment plan and, against a fixed monthly commission which varies according to the amount paid in installments, the current account balance is topped up in real time. The installments and related commissions will then be charged starting from the second following month. The amount that can be paid in installments ranges from a minimum of 250 euros (with the possibility of aggregating several expenses of lower amounts until the minimum threshold is reached) to a maximum of 5.000 euros and in any case within the limits of the ceiling assigned and available for each individual customer.

“Innovation and attention to customer needs are the principles that led us to create this product”, explains Frederik Geertman, Chief Commercial Officer and Deputy General Manager of UBI Banca. “Ricariconto offers a revolutionary service for customers and it is the first time that a bank has launched a financial product on the market that allows you to manage your liquidity flexibly and in total autonomy without having to request the granting of a loan every time ”.
