Venice surpasses Milan (119,68 euros), Bolzano (110,54 euros), Rome (110,42 euros) and Florence (108,52 euros), while on the opposite side of the ranking - that is, the one with the cheapest cities to spend a night in a hotel – we find Naples (72,30 euros) and Palermo (72,65 euros).

“Venice is beautiful, but I wouldn't live there” says an old adage which perhaps refers to the difficulty of living with the high tide of the lagoon. And with tourists from all over the world, who fill the canals and streets and squares and bridges every day of the year.

Tourists who are willing to accept the not exactly low cost rates of the Serenissima, starting with the hotels. According to the latest quarterly update of the HRS Hotel Price Radar (portal dedicated to business travel), in fact, Venice is the city with the most expensive hotels in Italy: 146,85 euros is the average cost of a night in Lagoon.

At European level, again according to HRS, Stockholm (155,53 euros) and Zurich (151,90) are the most expensive hotel destinations; Athens (74,25 euros), Warsaw (74,29 euros) and Budapest (74,76 euros) are the most accessible. In the world, New York prevails (205,87 euros).
