Tourism, bonus to shops in historic centres

Half a billion for the commercial activities of the historic centers of 29 Italian tourist cities. This is the latest initiative put in place by the Government, on the recommendation of the Minister of Culture Dario Franceschini, to support the collapse of tourism in the cities of art.

The bonus will be non-repayable but the activities will have to demonstrate that they have suffered a drop in turnover in June 2020 of at least 33% compared to June 2019, due to the absence of foreign visitors. The 29 cities admitted to this form of support are: Venice, Verbania, Florence, Rimini, Siena, Pisa, Rome, Como, Verona, Milan, Urbino, Bologna, La Spezia, Ravenna, Bolzano, Bergamo, Lucca, Matera, Padua, Agrigento, Syracuse, Ragusa, Naples, Cagliari, Catania, Genoa, Palermo, Turin and Bari.

The non-repayable grant was included by the executive in Legislative Decree noI decree August and may vary, depending on the assets and losses incurred, from 1.000 to 150.000 euro. Proportionally, the bonus will be distributed as follows: 20% of the difference in receipts for those who obtained revenues of less than 400 thousand euros, 15% for those who had collected between 400 thousand and one million euros, 10% for those who had revenues over one million of Euro.
