The Turkish police conducted a counter-terrorism operation which led to the arrest of 251 people, suspected of being in the ranks of Kurdish rebels or Isis jihadists - One militant was killed in the clashes.

The Turkish police launches the challenge to terrorists. Indeed, a vast counter-terrorism operation led to the arrest of 251 Guests in 13 provinces of the country, in particular members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party and suspected jihadists of the Islamic State group. During the clashes that took place in one of these raids, a woman belonging to the Revolutionary People's Liberation Front was killed.

The law enforcement blitz comes to a head of an escalation of violence which led, in recent days, to the suicide attack in Suruc, which left 32 dead and was attributed to ISIS, and to the assassination of two agents claimed by the PKK. More than 5.000 counter-terrorism agents and some helicopters were involved in the operation.

Furthermore, last night three F16 aircraft of the Turkish Air Force bombed at least four targets of the Islamic State jihadists in Syrian territory. According to reports, the planes hit "two headquarters and a meeting point" of ISIS fighters with missiles.
